Quantitative Research Officer


The Quantitative Research Officer is responsible for supporting data analysis, maintaining and constantly improving the quality of an organization’s data, and collaborating with the research team to accurately collect and present data.
Reporting: Head of Research Programs
Duty station: Kampala, Uganda

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with research teams to design and implement quantitative data collection activities
2. Work together with the research team to guarantee the implementation of a statistical analysis plan.
3. Recruit, train and supervise data collection teams
4. Perform data cleaning and other activities to prepare data for analysis
5. Perform quantitative statistical analysis
6. Develop reports and visual representations of to communicate statistical outputs

Skills

  • Proven ability and ownership of managing results from end to end with minimal supervision.

  • Critical thinking and good decision-making capability including under pressure.

  • Ability and willingness to work with and be a part of team efforts.

  • Confidence to contribute and challenge the status quo appropriately.


    • Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, or Research methods.

  • A years’ experience or more is an added advantage.
